On December 20th we went back to the Library to meet the kids and give them their portraits and see their reactions.
This is why we did it. All the time spent finding sponsors and donors, all the hours put into editing and all the cold weather we had to suffer thru it didn’t mean a thing when we saw the smiles on their faces (priceless).
Some said they didn’t recognized themselves in the pictures, others that they felt like ‘supermodels’, but there were some that told me they never had a photograph of themselves.
We loved it all and can’t wait to visit the last group of kids and hand them their portraits.
We partnered up with another project (ShoeBox) and gave the kids presents for Christmas.
